Roll Wrapped Prepreg Carbon Fiber Tubes

Roll wrapped prepreg carbon fiber tubes are constructed using multiple wraps of twill and/or unidirectional fabrics. Rolled tubes are ideal for applications that require the highest bending stiffness and lowest weight, such as automation, robotics, telescoping poles, idler rollers, and UAV components. Additionally, the longer length versions of these tubes have options for high and ultra high modulus carbon fiber, as well as choices for outer fabrics, such as colored Kevlar fabrics. The standard finish is cello-wrapped gloss, but a smooth sanded finish is also available.

Our Roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes are manufactured by wrapping multiple layers of 12k UD and 3k twill/plain carbon fiber prepregs around a metal mold and then cured at high temperature. The UD prepregs are used in core layers whereas the Twill/Plain is on the surface.

Available in matte and gloss finishings, these tubes are not only good-looking but also extremely stiff and strong. Such roll-wrapped tubes are available in round, square, rectangular, hexagon, octagon shapes. All these tubes are custom-made based on the client's requirement. The smallest Inner diameter is 5mm and the longest length is 3 meters. Thickness starts at 0.5 mm.
